Students have access to the full junior high experience, both academically and socially, attending class with their peers in the morning, and then attending a sports training facility of their choice in the afternoon with transportation available.

South Valley offers the Student Council, Art Club, Drum Club, Color Guard, Tech, Yearbook, and many other clubs & activities.

Gilbert Public Schools Governing Board approved that in November 2024, voters living within Gilbert Public School boundaries will decide on a proposed 15% budget override continuation. This would be a continuation of the existing budget override approved by voters in November 2019 and in place since the 2020/21 school year.

The application portal for free and reduced lunch for the 2024/25 school year is now open.
As a reminder, a new meal application is required every year to determine eligibility for the current school year.

Free Summer Meals! For kids and teens 18 years old and younger We provide FREE, HEALTHY, NUTRITIOUS meals to be consumed on-site. Adults may purchase breakfast for $2.75 and lunch for $4.75 (CASH ONLY). All sites closed 4th July.

For the 5th consecutive year, GPS was named the Best Community for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation. This award recognizes school districts for their commitment to music education and access to music for all students.

We are extremely proud of all of our students and staff and their achievements. The majority of our schools achieved an A or B letter grade for 2022-23.
